Dear Friends and Neighbors in Ward 2

Monday, I officially filed to seek re-election to the Hilton Head Island Town Council, representing the residents of Ward 2.

Having the privilege of serving our community over the past four years has truly been one of the best honors of my life. Every decision I have made has been guided by one simple question: What is best for the long-term future of Hilton Head Island and the people who call it home?

Together, I believe we have made meaningful progress. I have worked to protect the unique character of our island through responsible growth management, the preservation of our treasured Gullah-Geechee culture and heritage, along with thoughtful strategic planning that balances growth with the quality of life residents value so deeply.

I am proud to have served on the Finance & Administrative Committee, supporting responsible financial stewardship that has reduced property taxes while preserving Hilton Head Island’s AAA bond rating, and to have been appointed to the Land Management Task Force (LMO). At the same time, we have continued to make important investments in our future—including beach preservation, especially at Dolphin Head’s Pine Island, workforce housing initiatives, and stormwater resilience projects.

Public Safety Issues

Like many of you, I have also been concerned by recent events that have raised questions about community safety. I have listened carefully to your suggestions, and I believe we must continue taking thoughtful, proactive steps to keep our neighborhoods, beaches, and public spaces safe while preserving the welcoming community that has made Hilton Head Island such a special place to live and visit.

As I begin this campaign, I renew my commitment to remain accessible, to listen respectfully, and to work hard every day on behalf of the people of Ward 2 and those across the rest of our island. Public service is a responsibility I never take lightly, and I believe our best days are still ahead if we continue making thoughtful decisions together.

I would be deeply honored to earn your confidence and your vote once again. Thank you for your friendship, your encouragement, and the privilege of serving our beloved community.

With gratitude,

Patsy Brison
