Tom Davis

SC State Senator

“I am proud to endorse Patsy Brison for reelection to the Hiton Head Island Town Council. As author of South Carolina’s Green Space Sales Tax Act, I have watched with satisfaction as Patsy has put those funds to work on Hilton Head, leading the town’s acquisition of property that will remain undeveloped for generations and pairing those purchases with Land Management Ordinance amendments that give growth management genuine teeth.

Her environmental record is just as substantive: an organic first pest management policy that protects the Island’s waters and wildlife and sustained commitment to beach renourishment.

On fiscal matters she has helped the Town AAA bond ratings while reducing the millage rate, proving that careful stewardship and tax relief are not competing goals.

Ward 2 is well served by Patsy Brison, and I hope voters will return her to the Council.”

Tom Barnwell

“As a Town Council Representative, Patsy Brison does her homework thoroughly. She is always super prepared on all subjects that come to the table like land-use changes, transportation issues or any other protective measure for the benefit of residents or the overall community. I am extremely thankful for her excellent service and proud to endorse her re-election.”

David Ames

Terry Herron

“The upcoming election is critical for navigating our island’s future challenges and Patsy is exactly the leader we need. As a 30-year resident of Beaufort County, I am deeply passionate about protecting our island’s natural heritage and biodiversity, and Patsy is a civic leader who fiercely guards our environment.

Beyond the environment, Patsy advocates for better transportation, affordable housing, stormwater management, and the well-being of our Gullah Geechee and Latino communities. Her extensive municipal background makes her a pragmatic, practical voice who keeps personal politics out of decision making.”

Mary-Stuart Alderman

“I’m impressed by Patsy’s interest in making our community a good place for ALL our citizens to live and work.  Her attendance at countless community events demonstrates her personal commitment to our island’s residents and her attention to detail prepare her to make informed decisions about issues facing us.  She has my endorsement!”

Tim Ridge

“My wife Mona and I are 15-year residents of Ward 2. We’ve known Patsy for eight years. We fully support Patsy for re-election as our representative to Town Council. She is a thoughtful, persuasive leader who has the best interests of islanders always in mind. She takes time to understand the nuances and impact of issues facing the Council and speaks with confidence, always calmly, marshalling facts and logic, never grandstanding.

I’m impressed by the wealth of experience she brings to Council and her focus on what matters to islanders: fiscal responsibility, responsible growth management, workforce housing, and preserving Gullah cultural heritage. As a Hilton Head Plantation resident, I especially appreciate Patsy’s commitment to beach preservation on Pine Island.”

Mira Scott

“As a Hilton Head Island resident since 1979, I have watched this Island change tremendously over the years. I believe we need experienced leaders on the Town Council who understand that progress should never come at the expense of the character, natural beauty and quality of life that make Hilton Head so special.

I have known Patsy Brison for the past seven years and have watched Patsy serve our community with thoughtfulness and independence. She does her homework, asks important questions and takes the time to consider an issue rather than approaching it with a decision already made.

Patsy genuinely supports the arts and understands the important role they play in the vitality and economic impact of our community. She also recognizes the importance of responsible growth while protecting the quality of life that makes Hilton Head Island unique.

I believe Patsy brings the thoughtful, independent and balanced leadership our Island needs.”

Steve Alfred

Town Council, Ward 5

“I have worked closely with Patsy Brison not only during our last four years on Town Council together, but also for a number of years beforehand on other civic boards.

She is very bright and capable, as well as an extremely hard worker. She does her homework and frequently makes significant contributions to Council discussions of pending legislation. She also has an excellent background as a longtime municipal attorney that enhances her comments.

While we don’t always agree on substantive issues, we always respect each other’s points of view and have remained good friends.  Patsy deserves another term on Town Council; indeed, Council would benefit substantially from her continued participation.”

Jim Hall

“I am pleased to endorse Patsy Brison for re-election to Town Council. Patsy & I served together on the Board of Directors of Bike Walk Hilton Head Island. As the President of Bike Walk and the owner of Hilton Head Bicycle Company & The Bike Doctor, I appreciate that Patsy is a strong advocate for bicycle safety and for continued improvements to our bicycle paths across Hilton Head Island. I urge voters to return Patsy Brison as Town Council Member for Ward 2.”
